How whales live 

Whales are not fish, but mammals just like us.

• They have lungs and breathe air.

• They are warm-blooded and must maintain a constant internal body temperature.

• Their young grow within the uterus of the mother where they are fed directly through the placenta.

• After birth, they are nursed on their mother’s milk.
